Frederick William Oyoumick, Jr. “Amausaq”

Frederick William Oyoumick, Jr. “Amausaq” was born on March 16, 1984 and entered eternal rest on May 9, 2026 in St. Michael. He was adopted to Frederick Sr. and Rita Oyoumick who loved him immensely until they passed. His birth parents are Kathy Acoman and William Otten, Sr. 
Freddy enjoyed fishing throughout the year, beachcombing, berry picking, babysitting for family, hanging out with friends and also spending time with Button (Alexander Niksik, III), who was an important part of his life since Button was born.
Freddy was always willing to lend a helping hand throughout the community. 
Freddy worked for the airlines, AVEC and also worked numerous jobs with the City of St. Michael and Native Village of St. Michael throughout his adult life.
Freddy is survived by his biological parents: Kathy Acoman and William Otten, Sr. of Stebbins; siblings Cyril, Merissa, and Mary Acoman, Branson Pete, Sr.; nephews/nieces Seth and Cade Acoman, Justina Steve, George, Branson, Jr., JunLee, Otis and Ulysses Pete; great niece Amara; many aunts and uncles on both sides of his adoptive and biological families including Agnes Butler, Lawrence Abouchuk, George Washington, Sr., Joe Pete, Carolyn Kirk, Vera Niksik and Laurie Prince; cousins Kimberly, Stephanie, Bibianna, John Sr. and Shane Aluska, Ernest Butler, Jr.,  and many other cousins and friends. 
Freddy is preceded in death by his parents Frederick Sr. and Rita Oyoumick; siblings Mary and William Acoman, Jr.; maternal biological grandparents Clyde and Daisy Acoman; adoptive grandparents William and Martha Abouchuk; Gunner and Mary Oyoumick; uncles Peter and Frank Abouchuk, Herbert Aluska, Sr., David and Alex Oyoumick, Leo Kobuk, Sr. and Norbert Otten, Sr.; aunts Monica Oyoumick, Mary Pete, Mona Washington, Linda Otten, Matilda Acoman and Katherine Kobuk; cousins Jennifer Sinka, Herbert Aluska, Jr., and Eddie Pete, Sr.
