Mayor Richard Beneville congratulates Mark Johnson who won the Nov. 1 runoff election against incumbent Matt Culley for Nome Common Council Seat F. The council met Nov. 3 at the new Richard Foster Building to canvass the election and make final the vote: Johnson received 338 (68.83 percent) to Culley’s 146 votes (30.17 percent). Johnson will sit for a three-year term.
