Walter Jonathan Iyolook Ee-ee-tuk Slwooko

Jan. 4, 1954 ~ July 2, 2020

Walter Jonathan Slwooko born January 4, 1954 breathed earthly last July 2, 2020 after suffering several strokes. Walter Jonathan grew up hunting with dad at a very early age as many boys of that era.

Iyolook lived in Western Alaska villages while dad and mom were shepherding the flock. Walter was very gifted working with his hands, chiseling out walrus, seals, whales, birds jewelry out of ivory, bone and wood.

As with the rest of humanity, Walter had his issues to deal with from childhood to his adult life. Toward the end of his earthly sojourn, he found peace with God. The bible says: Believe in the Lord Jesus and you shall be saved. Tears have been shed, dreams have been revealed and may God’s name be glorified for He alone is the giver and taker of life.

Thank you all who supported mom, who God wills, is 91-years-old and will soon be living in an assisted living facility. Walter’s bones lie in repose awaiting the sound of the trumpet, the dead in Christ will rise first. My thoughts are with you all who lost loved ones. Peace to Walter’s memory.
