Martina Earlyn Little

On January 24, 2024, Martina Earlyn Little of Nome, Alaska passed away peacefully with the love of her life Warren at her side.
Martina was born January 31, 1945 to Anna Andrews and Dan Nashoanak in St. Michael, Alaska.
She met her husband Warren one Alaskan spring evening in 1972. He was stationed at Fort Richardson and she was in Anchorage attending two months of training and classes.
Warren married his Eskimo Princess on March 21, 1973. They had been married for a little over 50 years. Their love was like many dream of, through sickness and health their love was endless.
Throughout life Martina had various jobs. As a teenager she helped rebuild the sidewalks in St. Michael, Alaska. Her mother Anna spoke proudly of her daughter’s accomplishments saying she was never afraid to work.
She started her career as a Headstart teacher in St. Michael, which lead to her position as field training supervisor. Later she worked as Deputy Director for Kawerak Inc. where she implemented the Headstart program for the Bering Straits region under the guidance and support of Tim Towaruk and Perry Mendenhall.
Before retirement she worked as a loan officer under the supervision of her longtime friend Connie Madden, managing the Bering Straits Credit Union.
During retirement she took on the role of babysitter for close friends and family. This was her most enjoyable job of all. All of these children she considered her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Warren Little and their children Michelle Gallineaux, and Kevin (Jennifer) Little. Grandchildren Whitney (Richard) Clark, Emerson Conger, Jacqueline (Spencer) Smith, Atsa-Sikulik Johnson, Christopher, Kenneth, Jessica, Jeremiah, Katelynn and Jaden Avessuk, Sarah and Zachary Little, Nicholas and Chase Gray, Rhonda and Nina Hanebuth, William, Alyssa, and Katelynn Gray, Bethany and Justin Horton, Baby Jon Gilder, Branden and Amanda Oleson. She is preceded at the pearly gates of Heaven by her mother Anna, father Dan, little sister Rosalind, brothers Sonny, Stanley, and Barton, and her grandson Jeffrey Hanebuth.
A formal service will be held during the summer months, so all her family and friends have the opportunity to be in attendance. This will be shared at a later date.
