Kermit Sr. pasaed away at home in Unalakleet with his family present, from prostate/metastic bone cancer.

Born in Golovin, Alaska, to Molly Curran, Stephan Ivanoff. Kermit Sr. graduated from Mt. Edgecumbe, later served in military. He earned rank as M.S. 2. He had achieved several degrees in his life in various fields; he had also obtained pilot license, car raced and parachuted. Kermit Sr. became a lifelong National Guard member. He also worked and retired from F.A.A. Kermit Sr., also served as vice president and president in the U.N.C in the last few years of his life.

Kermit Sr. was avid hunter, fisherman, loved cars and flying as well. His Native culture, traditions and community he kept instilled the most in his family.

Kermit Sr. loved his 10 children more than anything he had accomplished. He always attended their basketball games, community activities, school activities, giving them all as many life experiences he could. He always had time for his family. Kermit Sr. always had a smile, handshake for anyone he met along his journey of life.

Kermit Sr. was preceded in death by his wife Laura C. Ivanoff; his parents Stephan Ivanoff, Peter and Molly Curran, his son Henry A. Ivanoff, and several siblings.

Kermit Sr. is survived by nine of his children Veronica C'Saez, Jaylee Harris, Monica Ivanoff, Kermit Ivanoff Jr.,Dan Ivanoff, Henrietta Ivanoff, Melinda Gray, Lucinda Ivanoff, Roland Ivanoff; his 25 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; siblings Ralph Ivanoff, Myra Henry, Malonia Rose and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Kermit Sr. is and always will be greatly loved, and missed.
