Wedding Bells: Keane and Rayna Moore

Keane and Rayna Moore were pronounced man and wife at Chuluungs Camp on the Fish River between Council and White Mountain on Saturday, August 27, 2016.They were blessed with no rain and the natural breathtaking beauty of this place.

Keane William Moore is from Elim and Nome and is the oldest son of Ted and Anna Moore. Rayna Buck Nassuk is from White Mountain and is the oldest daughter of Pretty Buck and Chris Nassuk.  Three communities joined together along with the Buck, Nassuk, Agloinga, Moore, Lincoln, Perrigo, Pederson and Nagaruk families. The ceremony was officiated by Earl “Chip” Swanson. 

Rayna’s wedding dress was an elegant, sleeveless gown with a pearl bead bodice. Her bridesmaids wore mint dresses along with the groomsmens’ white shirts with mint suspenders and mint bow ties. The bride’s mother, Pretty, wore a beautiful coral gown and the groom’s mother, Anna, a coral kuspuk. 

The reception following the ceremony left no one hungry as James Agloinga prepared scrumptious appetizers and everyone brought a potluck dish to share. The couple plans on living in Nome where they both work for Bering Air. Rayna will continue on-line schooling.
