Wedding Bells: Robert Peterson and Diane Strickland

After being together for more than 30 years and raising a beautiful family, Diane Strickland and Robert “Soup” Peterson tied the knot at their wedding in Nome on Sept. 22 at Nome Court House. The bride and groom have made their new home in Ketchikan, Alaska, and taken daughters and grandchildren with them. Diane Strickland spent some years growing up in Seward. “I wanted to see trees again. I need trees and warmer weather,” she said. That was fine with Peterson. "Wherever she wants to go,” he said. Pictured are (back row, left to right) son-in-law Justin Noffsker, daughter Elsie (remaining in Nome), bride Diane, groom Robert, daughters Deanna and Dona, holding granddaughter Cadence.  Front row left to right are grandchildren Avery, Kailyn and Beau.
